2021: Simplicity and Fun
Last year, I set monthly intentions in a bid to become more disciplined and to create fulfillment. This year, my overall goals are simplicity and fun. I will continue to set monthly goals but they will all fall under the umbrella of simplicity and fun.
2020: A Year of Humble Intent
On this blog, I set a different humble intention every month and write about how I get on. This comes after a lifetime of long lists of unfulfilled New Year’s Resolutions and an unparalleled ability to procrastinate. It is my hope that I will inspire others to join me and I would love to connect with anyone who is inspired by ‘A Year of Humble Intent.’

I chose Lasta as my pseudonym and the name for this blog because it means ‘lit up’ in the Irish language. I have always been drawn to what lights us up; to that ‘crack in everything’ Leonard Cohen described so beautifully. I live in the rugged west coast of Ireland. I enjoy cinema, poetry, Irish, books, television, landscapes, Ireland’s islands, yoga, idle strolls with my dog, comedy and, above all else, connection with other people.
